Consumer Reports recently added a new “hub” of information to their Choosing Wisely campaign. Highlights include a short and emotional documentary called A Beautiful Death, and a two-page report written in conjunction with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), called Palliative and Hospice Care: Comfort during a serious illness or the final months of life.
The advance care planning website PREPAREforYourCare.org is now available in Spanish. The website was translated into Spanish after careful pilot testing within the Spanish-speaking community and can be accessed at http://espanol.prepareforyourcare.org. In research studies, PREPARE has been shown to help patients engage in advance care planning and to be easy to use by diverse, older adults.
