The Coalition for Compassionate Care of California is pleased to announce an expansion of the advance care planning consulting service with the appointment of Shirley Otis-Green, MSW, ACSW, LCSW, OSW-C, as Clinical Director of Consulting Services.
Shirley Otis-Green is an award-winning licensed clinical social worker recognized by the Project on Death in America and the American Psychosocial Oncology Society. Her research focuses on quality of life, palliative care, and creating meaningful organizational change. Shirley is dedicated to enhancing excellence in the delivery of culturally congruent, person-centered and family-focused care.
Shirley joins CCCC to expand upon the success of ACP Integration Services—a consulting service for healthcare providers that designs effective and cost-efficient, customized advance care planning solutions.
Shirley serves on several editorial boards, is a Distinguished Social Work Practitioner in the National Academies of Practice, and is co-editor of the Oxford Textbook of Palliative Social Work. Shirley received her Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Hawaii and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in palliative care at Lancaster University in Great Britain.
