The Transforming Power of Music, with Olivia Newton-John and Friends

Loss and grief occur for many reasons—whether it’s caring for a seriously ill patient, or losing a loved one, a relationship, one’s health, a pet, or a job. It’s important to remember that each person’s grief is as individual as his or her DNA – and there truly is no timeline for healing from loss.

Join us for a special webinar featuring international superstar and multiple Grammy Award-winner Olivia Newton-John, Grammy nominee Beth Nielsen Chapman, and SOCAN Award-winner Amy Sky, as they talk about their newly released album, LIV ON, and how music has the power to transform, heal, and shed light on the fact that it’s OK to grieve—and that the process is different for everyone.

I do not have question only a big thank you to these 3 Beautiful Souls. That helped me & my Family through a very difficult year of losses & a few friends.
Liv On has helped us all.

    • Dear Virginia,
On behalf of Olivia, Beth and Amy, thank you for participating! I sent them your comment and they are in awe of the outpouring of love and kindness. They are truly touched.

So glad you like the album.

  2. Dear Dianne, Olivia, Beth & Amy! I spoke to you on the stage in Glasgow at the Celtic Connections Festival last tuesday. Thank you so much for what you are doing. It is so important these days. I’ve forgot to tell you that I am working for the german Crisis Hotline and we have to deal with a lot of grieving people, especially during night shifts. The LIV ON music helps me to re-charge my energy and just today I’ve had a conversation with a friend who has lost her father a year ago. The “waves” are still hitting her and she wouldn’t even dare to listen to LIV ON yet without bursting into tears. But she told me that one day she will… With much blessings & love from overseas. xxx Kay

    • Thank you so much, Kay. We truly appreciate your email and messages. You’re doing such helpful work. Thank you for sharing the LIV ON love. Olivia, Beth and Amy are reading the messages as I send them. Blessings,

I´m Maria from Germany. I´m a nurse, working in hospital on the neurological department
Very often we care for patients with brain cancer. During the dying process again and again
I make the experience that the patients, which are vIery restless and fearful will become with the “Liv On” music more relaxed and peacefulness is spreading. – Of course the patients can be accompanied by their family and friends – if it´s the wish of the patient. This palliative care providers are very sad of course and emotional very tense. The “Liv On” music helps to relieve stress and mental blockages. Very often people feel unable to cry although they would greatly like to cry. This wonderful music makes it possible to let the tears flow and the people feel better. Again and again they start by themselves playing “Liv On” and listen with hope and peace in their hearts to the three healing voices and the wonderful music. With confidence the patients and the family of the patients go together through this tough times and we all support each-other. Love and light is spreading and they are very grateful for the big help of us and this music.Liv On is helping in a great way!!! I only can say: Thank you Olivia, Amy and Beth for this wonderful Album! Thanks too for the great concert in Union Chapel!!! I love you all! Yours Maria from Germany

    • Dear Maria, Thank you so very much for your amazing endorsement of LIV ON. I’ve forwarded it to Olivia, Beth and Amy who truly appreciate you and your work.

On another note, on behalf of the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Foundation, thank you for your service and work. Like you, I work with palliative care, end of life and grieving patients and family members and am amazed at the power of music to touch the soul. May I post your message on our blog? We’d be so thankful. ~ Dianne Gray

    Hi girls,

I was wondering what song on this album is your favorite to perform and why,

    • Hi Kate!

Each of the artists has a favorite of her own at different times but Beth loves “Sand and Water” Amy has a few but notably “I Will Take Care of You” and Olivia resonates with “Live On.” Like most though– a song resonates with each of us differently on various days!

Thanks for listening to our webinar!

    Dear Olivia, Amy and Beth;

I just want to thank each of you for releasing such a beautiful album and for putting your hearts out there for all of us. Music has always been my “therapy”. Olivia, I don’t know if you will remember the letter I wrote you last year, but I went into great detail regarding how your music, in particular, has been my sanctuary. There truly is power in music. On the “Liv On” album, I’d have to say the song that speaks to me the most, personally, is the title track; simply because I’ve gone through so much in my life, starting at a very young age; that I can relate to it on so many levels.

Olivia, Amy and Beth – out of all the songs on the album, which speaks to you personally, the most?

Again, thank you so much ladies and God Bless each of you. XO

    • Thank you so much for sharing your message… I forwarded it to Olivia, Beth and Amy and they are truly thankful. You asked a great question about specific songs. Do you think that a specific song resonates at a certain time, depending upon the situation? Thanks again for your kind message…

      With gratitude,
      Dianne Gray, LIV ON Team

  7. Larry Pollastrini

Hello ladies…I must say I’m feeling incredible loss & grief with the outgoing US administration. Obama was phenomenal. I’m losing sleep and feeling so hopeless with the new dreadful leadership. I’m sure many Americans are feeling similarly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I love the new cd. Larry from Pennsylvania
