Support Our Work

"If our health systems fulfill their goals, and deliver
compassionate, consistent care, we will have a society that
makes sure that individuals' personal wishes are honored
—how they would like to approach their waning days."

"It's not an ideological process.
 It's not political. It's personal."

-Wells Shoemaker, MD

Legacy Giving

Thank you for considering a lasting gift to transform the way we care for people with serious illness. With a legacy gift to the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California, you can ensure that future generations have access to quality, compassionate care.

Plus, many legacy gifts offer you financial benefits, so you can be sure your charitable giving will have a significant impact while you maintain your financial security. Get started today by consulting with your legal and financial advisors, and contact us at (916) 489-2222 for additional information on legacy giving.

Common legacy gift opportunities include:

Wills or Living Trusts
By including the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California in your will or living trust, you’ll ensure that we can continue our work for years to come. After providing for your loved ones, you can name the Coalition to receive a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of your estate.

A bequest is generally a revocable gift, which means it can be changed or modified at any time. Bequests are exempt from federal estate taxes. If you have a taxable estate, the estate tax charitable deduction may offset or eliminate estate taxes, resulting in a larger inheritance for your heirs.

Beneficiary Designations
Make a legacy gift by naming Coalition for Compassionate Care of California as a primary or secondary (contingent) beneficiary to receive assets such as retirement plans, life insurance policies, and annuities beyond your lifetime.

Simply obtain a beneficiary designation form from your life insurance, retirement plan, or annuity administrator. The form may ask for the name of the beneficiary organization’s legal name (Coalition for Compassionate Care of California), address (2530 River Plaza Drive, Suite 110, Sacramento, CA 95833), and federal ID number (27-0419836).

Other Deferred Gift Options
We encourage donors to discuss with us and with their financial and legal advisors other deferred gift options, including gifts of retained life estate, charitable lead trusts, and charitable remainder trusts.

If you include CCCC in your estate plans, please include the following information:

Legal Name: Coalition for Compassionate Care of California
Physical Address: 2530 River Plaza Drive, Suite 110, Sacramento, CA 95833
Federal Tax ID Number: 27-0419836

Donors are advised to consult with legal and financial advisors of their choice in all matters related to estate or deferred gifts in order to align the donors’ charitable giving with their overall financial, tax, and estate plans.
