Alexis Morvant joined the Division of Quality of Life and Pediatric Palliative Care in 2023 as the John A. Kriewall and Elizabeth A. Haehl Director for Palliative Care and associate professor of pediatrics at Stanford University. She previously served as the inaugural chief of the Pediatric Palliative Care Program at Children’s Hospital New Orleans, where she developed Louisiana’s first Interdisciplinary pediatric palliative care program. She created legislation and expanded Medicaid Access for children facing serious illness in Louisiana, which is now a leader in pediatric hospice access in the U.S. She serves as a leader for the AAP, AAHPM, NCHPC-Peds Division.
