Chris Onderdonk has worked in palliative care for 25 years as a clinical social worker across palliative care, hospice, and bereavement settings. He is a palliative care social worker at UC San Diego Health and affiliate faculty at the Sanford Institute Center for Compassionate Communication. He serves as Past Chair of the SWHPN Board of Directors and has authored chapters in two Oxford University Press texts as well as multiple peer-reviewed articles. He presents regularly at national conferences on a wide range of topics including complex medical decision-making and moral distress.
