Cynthia X. Pan, MD, FACP, AGSF

Cynthia Pan is chief of Geriatrics and Palliative Care and DIO at New York-Presbyterian Queens, and professor at Weill Cornell. She founded the hospital’s Palliative Care Program, improving care for seriously ill patients and mentoring trainees and interdisciplinary teams. Her funded work advances goals-of-care communication, culturally tailored care for underserved populations, and earlier palliative and hospice integration. She leads quality initiatives in end-of-life care, patient safety, and Age-Friendly Health Systems. An internationally recognized speaker, Dr. Pan promotes public education, particularly in Chinese American communities, and co-leads CACCC. She is author of Exit Strategies: Living Lessons from Dying People.
