Esther Luo is a palliative care physician at The Permanente Medical Group, Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center, and Associate Professor at the Kaiser Permanente Institute of Medical Education. She serves as physician lead for outpatient palliative care and has developed integrated outpatient and home health–based palliative care programs grounded in transdisciplinary care. Dr. Luo mentors residents in quality improvement and collaborates closely with oncology and geriatrics to expand integrated palliative care. She is also active in community and global education, including teaching end-of-life care courses in China and serving as a speaker with the Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care (CACCC).
