Together with our partners, the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California (CCCC) is shaping the future of palliative care at the local, state and national level.
As the voice of palliative care in California, CCCC continuously incubates and disseminates models and ideas to improve access to quality care for people of all ages.
Through advocacy, education, and resource development, CCCC is working to ensure that organizations and communities have the information, knowledge, and tools to create the future of palliative care.
California Advanced Illness Collaborative (CAIC)
In 2016 the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California (CCCC) and Blue Shield of California convened individuals with expertise in palliative care, payment and policy advocacy, and health services research to form the “California Advanced Illness Collaborative” (CAIC). The mission of the CAIC is to improve the quality of care delivered to Californians with advanced illness, with an initial strategy of increasing access to palliative care. Learn more about the CAIC and their current effort to create and pilot test Consensus Standards For Community-Based Palliative Care.
The Coalition for Compassionate Care is dedicated to engaging palliative care patients and their caregivers, and providing opportunities to share their valuable perspective and elevate the authentic patient voice in health care communications.
