The
California Department of Aging
(CDA) recently announced the launch of the California for All Ages digital campaign to address ageism and promote equity in aging.
The intention of the campaign is to raise awareness of ageism, however it manifests (personally, organizationally, culturally, and structurally), and direct people to resources to address ageism and inequities in aging.
As part of the campaign, CDA has created two webpages with recommended reading, viewing, and resources:
California for All Ages Resources
Equity in Aging Resource Center
Join the Campaign and Share the Resources
CDA is inviting everyone to join the campaign and share the resources. Visit CDA’s webpage to access a
social press kit
which offers simple one-click options for posting to Twitter or Facebook! You can also visit the
digital toolkit
to access the logo and select from sample tweets, Facebook posts, and/or graphics and share across your social media platforms! These posts will encourage your audience to learn more about ageism; check their own biases about ageing; and learn facts about diversity and ageing, as well as ways that they can help confront and combat ageism. The digital campaign comes on the heels of the California For All Ages virtual town hall that CDA hosted in partnership with Metta Fund, San Francisco Human Services Agency, San Francisco In Home Support Services Public Authority, and the Campaign for Independent Living. The event was recorded and can be accessed via
YouTube
or the
California for All Ages page
.
