If you are interested in advancing palliative care through Medi-Cal, the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California (CCCC) encourages supporters to participate in the webinar on Sept. 8.

SB 1004 was supported by CCCC. This legislation is a significant milestone for palliative care in California and a sign that the voices of palliative care advocates are being heard!

SB 1004 requires DHCS to ensure delivery of palliative care services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries. The bill passed the California legislature in 2014 with overwhelming and bipartisan support. SB 1004 was designed to expand access to palliative care services for enrollees of Medi-Cal managed care plans which serve more than 10.3 million Californians.

For the webinar agenda, meeting materials or additional information, check the SB 1004 web page, or contact the DHCS SB 1004 mailbox at [email protected].
