Meet our Keynote!

Meet Dr. Kimberly Curseen, leading the way on breaking barriers and building bridges to achieve true health equity

Shape of Equity in Palliative Care for Patients with Serious Illness
Kimberly A. Curseen, MD, FAAHPM, Director of Outpatient Supportive Care at Emory Palliative Care Center, will be speaking on the challenges and possibilities of breaking barriers to achieving equity in palliative care. Her talk will explore barriers to achieving equity in palliative care for people with serious illness and propose a framework for achieving equity. Dr. Curseen will share insights and inspirations to help us transform how we relate to the people and communities we serve.

At the Coalition for Compassionate Care, we believe that everyone living with serious illness should have access to the care that they need, and the ability to decline treatment that they do not want or need. Join Dr. Curseen at the 2024 Summit for a powerful, inspiring exploration of how we can transform healthcare to more closely align with the desires and visions of the communities and individuals we serve.
