Jon Nicolla, MBA is the Executive Director of the Palliative Care Quality Collaborative (PCQC) where he is responsible for promoting quality data collection in palliative care to support patients, clinicians, and administrators; developing and directing organizational strategy; overseeing day-to-day business activities; preparing comprehensive budgets; engaging with community groups; establishing strategic organizational partnerships; coaching workgroup leaders and staff; overseeing the launch of the PCQC Quality Registry; developing training and support processes; conducting membership sales and engagement meetings; and ensuring the organizational wellness of the Palliative Care Quality Collaborative.

Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP)

Jennifer Kennedy, EdD, MA, BSN, RN, CHC is the Vice President for Quality and Standards at CHAP. She has more than 35 years of experience as a leader and nurse in diverse healthcare settings and has worked in hospice and palliative care for the last 20+ years. Dr. Kennedy has a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a dual master’s degree in health education and case management, and a doctoral degree in health care education and policy and is a certified health care compliance professional. Dr. Kennedy is the lead for the CHAP quality team and interacts with CMS and their contractors related to hospice regulatory and quality issues for hospice, home health, home infusion, pharmacy, and durable medical equipment. She also collaborates with the CHAP Center for Excellence a content developer and faculty. Dr. Kennedy is a member of the ANA’s national palliative nursing task group and nurse mentoring program and has been honored by the UK’s St. Christopher’s Hospice as a Nursing Pioneer for their Palliative Care Nursing Project. She speaks for national and state events and teaches Graduate Health Care Administration courses at the university level.
